Sci-comm burrito is a bimonthly-ish gathering of people who work in science communication, outreach or public engagement in Manchester. We normally meet at Barburrito on Piccadilly Gardens at around 6.30pm, have a burrito then sit around having a drink afterwards.
Upcoming burrito dates (subject to change - join the mailing list for confirmations/reminders):
Sunday 31st August 2025: meeting in St. John's Gardens in the city centre from 12pm-4pm, and having a picnic. (Note: This event was previously organised for 23rd August, but clashed with the Manchester Pride Parade.)
Monday 13th October 2025: meeting for a burrito from 6pm at a new trial location of Tortilla in Manchester Arndale (upper mall, just inside the Arndale Markets entrance on High Street, and on the right before Waterstones). Note the slightly earlier start time of 6pm, since Tortilla is only open till 8pm. If people want to stick around later we can go somewhere else afterwards!
Monday 15th December 2025: meeting by the Queen Victoria statue on Piccadilly Gardens at 6.30pm, leaving at 6.45pm and finding some dinner on the Christmas Markets.
